The Kindle from Amazon is not considered by IDC to be a tablet PC or device. The attempts by Microsoft to get a mobile version of Windows prepared have not been put into consideration either. Microsoft is expected to release a mobile version of Windows 7 in the near future.

The main concern about the tablet PC and tablet device debate comes from how different businesses are being impacted by it. For instance, people have stated that they are interested in mobile tablet items. However, not all people are willing to pay a great deal of money for one of these items. They may be willing to handle only a few hundred dollars for a device. This is important because of how tablet devices can cost more than five hundred dollars each in most cases.

There is also concern about how a tablet device will not work with as many features as that of a tablet PC. For instance, the iPad is not able to work with multitasking like a regular PC can.
